Leatherhead 2 Swans 0 …

Not the result the Swans were looking for today ahead of three important play-off chasers as Drax’s side go down 2-0 to Leatherhead at Fetcham Grove.

Swans had a good deal of the play, on a poor pitch, in the first half but had only a single effort on goal. However it was the home side who went in front from a scrambled effort put away by loanee Nana Boakye-Yiadom. Wadah received a yellow in the first half that was to prove vital in the second when a second yellow [meant a red card] just after the Swans had swapped things around a bit with Bettamer and Nembhard replacing D.Brown and Martin on 50 minutes. Tom Richards was on the back post to make it 2-0 to the hosts making it almost impossible for the Swans to get anything out of the game.

Swans will look to stand up strong as we return to action on Monday evening at top of the table Billericay Town. Monday’s hosts drew 1-1 at Enfield Town today and suffered 3 Yellows and a straight Red for Jamie O’Hara who was dismissed on 90 Minutes for dissent.

All to play for Swans!
