Brightlingsea Regent 2 Swans 2 …

Swans returned from their first visit to the Taydal Stadium with a worthy point. An Aaron Condon 90th minute equaliser took the shine off the visit but with Folkestone losing and Dulwich dropping a point we go into Tuesday’s visit of Harlow Town still flying.

Drax’s boys hit the magic 50 league goals for the season so far thanks to Tyrell Miller-Rodney on 35 minutes and a 17th league goal just before the break from the irrepessable Elliott Buchanan.  Swans started the game with new signing 18 year old Gabriel Rosario, a Reading FC junior, replacing the injured Liam Driscoll in goal. Taking a 2 goal lead into the second period the Swans saw a Ricky Griggs 70th minute goal reduce the lead and following an intense period of pressure Condon scored in the 90th minute and then saw red as the referee dismissed him for his celebration.

Great to see Elliott back and on to Tuesday and the visit of 21st placed Harlow Town, winners against Folkestone Invicta today thanks to 2 own goals. Kick off at Wheatsheaf Park is 7.45pm …
