Leiston 2 Swans 2 …

Swans made the difficult trip to Suffolk based Leiston FC and came back with a well earned point. Prolific scorer Elliott Buchanan took his tally to eight league goals with a double strike [9 and 58 minutes] to keep the Swans in front. The Blues pulled back through Jefford on 14 mins and Ainsley on 79 to level the scores. The home side remain unbeaten in the Bostik Premier and Buch’s double take the Swans on to 29 goals from 12 games and Drax’s boys stay in 6th position.

Swans had a spate of bookings with Miller-Rodney, Martin, Driver and Buchanan from the starting eleven booked and Driver’s replacement McEwan also cautioned. Swans toughed it out in an entertaining game and the point taken from a long journey, whilst not equalling last season’s 3 points will be sufficient for a happy trip home.

Next Up are Dulwich Hamlet at Wheatsheaf Park next Saturday …
