Four games unbeaten and four clean sheets as Swans take a point at Merstham with a 0-0 draw. Both sides started the game with 3 wins in a row and it was clear to see that this was going to be a close one. Swans closest effort coming in the 94th minute from Tom Collins.
Swans started the game full of confidence and keen to keep up the momentum that has seen them consolidate a mid-table position. Strong again in possession but the final ball just not quite as it has been in recent games. Tyrell Miller-Rodney has settled in well at right back allowing Tom Day to work with Max on the left. Several times Swans were caught out in midfield where , ex-Swan, Tom Kavanagh again looked classy and gave the home side a couple of strong chances. In the first 45 ‘Cash’ Hippolyte and a three attempts on goal but was a lattle wayward with his firing. Again Wadah was in control but it was not until the 94th minute that the Swans went seriously close as Tom Collins took the ball to the line and fired across the goal.
It was, however, always looking like a share of the points but a big mention to Jack Turner who kept a clean sheet for the fourth game in a row. Swans certainly looking stronger at the back as we look to welcome play-off hopefuls Tonbridge Angels to Wheatsheaf Park next Saturday … #FollowtheSwans
