Leiston 0 Swans 1 …

Swans made the long journey to Suffolk, following an 8.30 pitch inspection, to face an in form Leiston FC. The Blues, under Glenn Driver and Len Linsella, are looking positively at a play-off place but the Swans had other ideas and inflicted the first home defeat on Leiston in 2017.  Making it a frustrating afternoon Drax’s squad left Victory Road with 3 points and a deserved victory. The winner came on 59 minutes from ‘Cash’ Hippolyte scoring from close range. With a good all round show of strength and another clean sheet from Jack Turner the Swans ensured it was the first time that the Blues had failed to score at Victory Road this season. The difference, keeping the season alive, in the Swans game was the number of chance made away from home and the pressure put on the Blues keeper.
