Kingstonian 3 Swans 2 …

Swans festive fun came to an end today with a 3-2 defeat by K’s. Despite having much of the play the travelling Swans went down at Kingsmeadow with K’s striking through Bonnett-Johnson as early as the 5th minute. From then on it was an uphill climb that faced Drax’s squad followed by a good contingent of Swans fans looking for the mini run to extend into the new year.

Tom Derry and Alan Inns both added for the home team before the half-time whistle with Mo Bettamer blasting home another penalty. All could have been so different if the decision given on the downing of Adrian Clifton had been given as inside the box instead of outside. There was some tough tackling in the middle and Swans grew in confidence the longer they were able to hold on to possession. Enter Brandon Adams, Tre Mitford and Bayley Brown and it was all Swans pushing for a point with a purpose. Bayley Brown scored in the 87th minute with sheer power in a goal line melee but it was just too little too late and Swans were left to prepare for the trip to Needham Market next Saturday … #FollowtheSwans
