Swans go into Christmas on the back of a 2-1 home defeat to Burgess Hill Town. A 20th minute goal from Afolabi Coker was cancelled out with goals by Brivio and Harding to leave the Swans sitting in 10th place.
The game started with the Swans looking as though there would be only one winner of this pre-Christmas Ryman Premier League clash and whem Afolabli Coker headed home from a corner on 20 minutes it sealed a good start. The game was played throughout the midfield with Coker and Brewer looking a good pairing at the back but Ayunga looked to grow in strength as the minutes went on. That danger of not getting a second goal was punished in the 42nd minute with a low drive to the far post by Brivio past Jack Turner.
As the second half was just settling Harding put the Hillians ahead and despite having a full 40 minutes to get back into the game it was too much of a tall order. Swans captain received a yellow card for a tackle on the half way line, but stayed strong to ensure the score levels were not made any wider. Cash came on for Miller-Rodney but despite a few moments of quick fire control was unable to add to the hard efforts of Clifton, Adams, Barratt and Worsfold up front. A few near misses but this one sums up the Swans season so far. It was good to see Academy player Nebay Haile [pictured] on the bench and there is no doubt he will feature at some stage soon.
