Johnson Hippolyte continues to shape his squad for the coming season, with news that three more players have put pen to paper in the last few days.
There is one brand new name in the trio – that of KANE HAYSMAN, a 20 year old midfielder who has spent the last couple of seasons in the Vanarama South, firstly with Sutton United, and last term at Eastbourne Borough. Kane appeared in the Football League for Gillingham, however, and it was while he was with ‘The Gills’ that he first came to Draxs’s attention, and he is a player on whom he has kept tabs ever since. He is seen as an important addition to our squad and we welcome Kane to Wheatsheaf Park.
In addition, we are delighted to confirm that two key players in our revival in the latter part of 2015/16 have agreed to remain with ‘The Swans’. DEVANTE McKAIN proved a pivotal player in defence ever since signing from Hayes & Yeading United in February, and earlier gained experience with Fulham, Gillingham, Bromley, and Boreham Wood. Having attracted interest from at least one Vanarama South club, DE’REECE VANDERHYDE has committed himself to Staines Town, after appearing with us last season on a dual registration from Bishop’s Stortford. De’Reece previously played at Leyton Orient, Hayes & Yeading United, and, like Devante, under Hippolyte at Maidenhead United.
