All the latest from Wheatsheaf Park …

THURSDAY 7th APRIL 2016

The Academy complete their busy week with a visit to Grosvenor Vale to take on Wealdstone in the Ryman Youth League (West), looking to build on two successive 8-0 away wins and move a step closer to the title.  However, tonight’s game will be no easy task, as a fast improving Wealdstone side went down only 3-2 to one of Staines’ main challengers, Bedfont Sports.  That game was played only last night, which is one of the reasons that tonight’s fixture kicks off at the unusual time of 7pm.

Venue: Wealdstone FC, Grosvenor Vale, Ruislip, Middlesex, HA4 6JQ (for those with longer memories, it’s the old Ruislip Manor ground).

SATURDAY 9th APRIL 2016

First Team away v Lewes, Ryman League Premier Division, kick-off 3pm.

If the Swans can complete the ‘double’ over the already-relegated Lewes, and other results go our way, we can say we are mathematically certain of avoiding the drop this season.  This would mean we’re unlikely to go to Lewes next season, so anyone who hasn’t visited the unique Dripping Pan ground is urged to do so while you can, and cheer on the team.

Venue: Lewes FC, The Dripping Pan, Mountfield Road, Lewes, East Sussex, BN7 2XA.

Don’t forget to return to Wheatsheaf Lane to enjoy the big Anthony Joshua v Charles Martin boxing match on multiple screens in our Swans Sports Bar later in the evening.

MONDAY 11th APRIL 2016

Academy home v local rivals and title contenders Bedfont Sports in the Ryman Youth League (West).  Kick-off at Wheatsheaf Park is at 7:30pm.

MONDAY 11th APRIL 2016

THURSDAY 14th APRIL 2016

SUNDAY 17th APRIL 2016

Chelsea Ladies FC have been drawn at home in the FA Women’s Cup Semi-Finals against Manchester City LFC, and a change in the rules means that this match will take place at Wheatsheaf Park (in the past, the semis were on neutral grounds).  Kick off is at 2pm, as The Blues look to reach Wembley for the second year running.

SUNDAY 17th APRIL 2016

Staines Town’s First Team are also in action, taking on Kingstonian on Sunday – a rare occurrence caused by our hosts’ ground-sharing arrangement with AFC Wimbledon.  Kick-off against our play-off chasing neighbours is at 3pm.

Venue: Kingsmeadow Stadium, 422a Kingston Road, Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey, KT1 3PB.

TUESDAY 19th APRIL 2016

A rare chance to see our Academy Under 19 team in action at Wheatsheaf Park (home games in the Conference Youth Alliance are usually played at the LSE SportsGround).  Today’s visitors, for their last game of the season are from the Community Trust scheme of Watford FC.  Kick-off is at 1pm.

SATURDAY 23rd APRIL 2016

Canvey Island are our guests for the last Ryman League game of the season, which kicks off at 3pm.

Stay at Wheatsheaf Park for the evening as we will be having our Annual Presentation Night a little later.  Admission to the presentation is free, and all players and supporters are welcome.
