Swans 1 Harrow Borough 1 …

Ryan Gondoh

Barnet loanee Ryan Gondoh scored his first goal for Staines Town and Jack Turner saved a penalty but Johnson Hippolyte’s side had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Harrow Borough in the Ryman Premier .

Gondoh’s 52nd-minute goal looked enough to win the points but Dylan Cascoe’s dramatic 90th-minute leveller earned the visitors a worthy share of the spoils.

Swans’ point, which followed the 0-0 stalemate at East Thurrock United last weekend, pushed them up to 46 points, a total which should be good enough to see them stay up with still six matches to play.

Pat Cox was back to spearhead Staines’ attack after three matches on the sidelines and he had the game’s first chance in a first half dominated by a fierce wind, mainly swirling in Harrow’s favour.

Tommy Brewer’s throw in was brilliantly controlled by Tommy Wright who turned sharply and slipped in Cox. The centre-forward was faced with just Joe McDonnell but the keeper did well to spread himself and divert for a corner with his leg.
