Johnson Hippolyte was a happy man after guiding Staines Town to a 3-1 victory against Met Police on Tuesday night.

It was only the club’s third win in 17 Ryman Premier matches – achieved with only four players in the starting line-up from Nicky Forster’s time at the club.

The Swans boss admitted he called in more favours to bring in centre-back Ben Martin, from St Albans, and striker Tommy Wright from Sutton United, both on dual registration, Martin agreeing to come in for what could be just one game to cover for injured Devante McKain.

The only man who has been busier than Hippolyte in the last two weeks is Swans’ secretary Steve Parsons, who is understood to have earned a loyalty card at Ryman stationers in the town after frequent trips for new pens and paper to cope with all the player registrations.
